After breakfast, enjoy city tour of Chennai visiting Museum, Fort St. George and Kapaleeswara Temple and drive past Marina Beach - 2nd longest beach in the world. Overnight stay will be at hotel.
After breakfast drive to Mahabalipraum en route visit Kanchipuram.
On arrival at Mahabalipuram check-in hotel. After lunch visit Shore Temple, Arjuna's Penance - biggest bas relief in the world and leisure walk to Five Rathas witness the craftsmen making statues. Overnight stay will be at hotel.
After breakfast drive to Pondicherry, formerly a French Colony. Reach & check in at hotel. Later enjoy sightseeing tour of Pondicherry, the main attraction here is the Aurobindo Ashram which was founded by Sri Aurobindo in 1926. After breakfast leave for Tanjore en route visit Natarajar Temple at Chidambaram.

Mumbai is the commercial capital of India, and a fast paced, cosmopolitan city. Visit the Gateway of India, situated at Apollo Bunder. It was built as a triumphal arch to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to India in 1911, replete with four turrets and intricate latticework carved into the yellow basalt stone. Next, visit the Prince of Wales Museum. This Gothic and Moorish style building is crowned by a sparkling white dome, and houses a priceless collection of art, sculpture, china and other antiques. Drive past the old colonial buildings like Victoria Terminus (undoubtedly the British Raj's piece de resistance, featuring carved stone friezes, stained glass windows and flying buttresses), Mumbai University and Rajabai Clock Tower. Make a photo stop at Dhobi Ghat, the open-air laundry of the city. Proceed down Marine Drive, South Mumbai’s windswept promenade, flanked by the sea and a row of art deco buildings. Drive past Chowpaty Beach, the Parsi Towers of Silence and Malabar Hill. Visit Mani Bhavan, the old Mumbai residence of Mahatma Gandhi. It's a pretty, two-storied structure that now houses a reference library with over 2000 books, a photo exhibition of the Mahatma's life, and well-preserved memorabilia, including an old charkha or spinning wheel that Gandhiji used to use.

Breakfast will be at hotel. Thereafter proceed to the Gateway of India to take the catamaran for Elephanta Caves. Boat leaves at 0900 hrs from the Gateway of India Pier. Enjoy a one-hour boat ride across Mumbai Harbour brings you to the lovely, green Elephanta Island. Here you visit some of the huge and intricately carved Cave Temples dating back to the 7th century and dedicated to the Sun God - Shiva. Large panels depict episodes in his life. The central sculpture represents Shiva's three aspects as creator, preserver and destroyer. Return back to the pier at 1330 hrs.
